Onsite storage
When not in use, the machine must be stored in a secure location indoors that is protected from adverse weather conditions.
To store the machine, follow these steps:
-
Secure the wheels of the machine with wheel chocks, or using the eye in the back.
-
Ensure the box carriage assembly locking lever is in the LOCK position to prevent damage during transport and to support the carriage when the machine is not in use.
► See "Box carriage assembly locking lever". -
Lower the hoist onto the pin to relieve stress on strap.
This offloads tension on the hoist strap to ensure the carriage is fully supported by the mechanical carriage lock.
-
For short term (<2 weeks) storage:
-
Plug the machine into a 120 VAC power outlet.
-
-
For long term storage (>2 weeks):
-
Leave the machine unplugged.
-
Ensure the box carriage assembly locking lever is in the LOCK position to support the carriage when the machine is not in use.
-
-
Ensure the machine is fully powered down.
► See "Powering down the machine". -
Cover the machine to protect it from dirt, dust, and debris.
