Onsite storage

When not in use, the machine must be stored in a secure location indoors that is protected from adverse weather conditions.

To store the machine, follow these steps:

  1. Secure the wheels of the machine with wheel chocks, or using the eye in the back.

  2. Ensure the box carriage assembly locking lever is in the LOCK position to prevent damage during transport and to support the carriage when the machine is not in use.

See "Box carriage assembly locking lever".
  3. Lower the hoist onto the pin to relieve stress on strap.

This offloads tension on the hoist strap to ensure the carriage is fully supported by the mechanical carriage lock.

  4. For short term (<2 weeks) storage:

    1. Plug the machine into a 120 VAC power outlet.

  5. For long term storage (>2 weeks):

    1. Leave the machine unplugged.

    2. Ensure the box carriage assembly locking lever is in the LOCK position to support the carriage when the machine is not in use.

  6. Ensure the machine is fully powered down.

    See "Powering down the machine".
  7. Cover the machine to protect it from dirt, dust, and debris.

See "Power switch settings for different conditions".
